APS Board Meeting Minutes Dec . 6 , 2017

This meeting firmed up dates of workshop s , events and scheduled meetings for 2018 .
Old Business :
Congratulations to Corey Pitkin for receiving the “ People ’ s Choice ” Award for “Once Mine ” and
Joan Reid for receiving the “ Personal Best ” Award for “ Daydreamer ” in the 2017 Annual Members
Show . Certificate and monetary award of $100 to each .
Lise reports that all 26 paintings were voted upon and the top 5 were…

Susan Whiteman is updating and cleaning up existing information. Please take note and respond to her requests in a timely manner. This is a time consuming task and we need to make it as easy as possible . We thank Corey for managing it all this time!
New Business: 2018 Marks 10 Year Anniversary 2008 – 2018
Membership Renewal Deadline: Jan 1 – Feb. 14. $25.00 After deadline, cost will be $30.00
Newsletter Submission & Deadlines: January – March 1 st Publication Da te: April 1 st
The newsletter will highlight a bit of history. Lise would like members to post/submit images from 10 years ago (then and now).
Membership Drive : Bev will send out Press Release to area about our 10 year Anniversary along with a call for new members.
Portrait Workshop II (Corey Pitkin) May 5 and 6 th , 10am – 4p m . ( $200.00 ) 1 0 maximum
One Day Paint out with Corey Pitkin in Rogers Park June/July ( Date TBD )
Wiawaka Painting Day and reception…Sat. June 30, 2018 Lunch is $ 12.00, $ 135 /night, Fri . & Sat. , $ 125 /night, Sun – Thurs. Meals included. ( Takeyce Walter Demonstration)
4th Adirondack National Pastel Exhibition: July 11, 2018 – August 11, 2018 Entry Deadline Sunday , May 20, 2018 (Online Juried Shows ) Alain Picard i s Selection, Awards Juror and Workshop Instructor….
