The Adirondack Pastel Society was established in 2008 and is open to any artist working in the medium of soft pastel and to any person or organization wishing to promote participation in the medium. APS provides exhibiting opportunities for pastel artists and works to educate and encourage students and professionals in the medium through workshops, demonstrations and interaction among its members. APS is a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies.

Signature Status
APS welcomes applications for Signature Membership from artists who have been members of APS for a minimum of 9 months by the time of the application deadline. Benefits of Signature Membership include:
- A gallery page on the APS website highlighting up to 10 images, artist statement, biography and links to chosen online sites.
- Participation in an in-person Signature Membership Exhibition every two years at no additional cost.
- Ability to use “APS” in the artist’s signature.

When: Wednesdays @ 5pm unless otherwise noted: Please note that due to COVID 19 we are not gathering for meetings of any sort. Please watch for emails from the society for updates from the board of the APS with regard to events. The events page will be updated as necessary.
Members are welcome to bring one to two pieces of art for a fun and informative critique session taking place after a short business meeting.
