The Adirondack Pastel Society is happy to announce the 11th Annual Adirondack National Pastel Exhibition at the Tom Myott Gallery (the Shirt Factory) at 71 Lawrence Street, Glens Falls, NY. The show runs July 17 through August 9, with a reception and awards ceremony on Friday, July 19. APS is accepting entries now through May 15, 2024. The juried competition is open to adult artists working in the medium of soft pastel.
Theme and Eligibility
- This is an open call opportunity for any artist working in soft pastel.
- Work must be ready to hang, work not ready to hang may not be included in show.
- Artists are encouraged to attend the reception.
- Original pastel artwork only.
- All submissions must be for sale.
- Due to space restrictions all pieces must be under 34” wide outside frame dimension.
Dates to Remember
- Entry Deadline: Thursday, May 15, 2025
- Acceptance Notification: By Friday, May 30, 2025
- Hand-Delivered Artwork: Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6th between 10am–3pm. Deliver to the Tom Myott Gallery.
- Shipped Artwork: Deadline for shipped is due July 9, 2025 or sooner.
- Exhibition Dates: July 17 – August 9, 2025
- Reception & Awards: Saturday, July 19, 2025, 6–8pm
- Artwork Pick Up: Friday, Sat & Sunday August 11–13th, between 11am–4pm.
Awards:
Best of Show: $650 cash award
Second Place: $350 cash award
Third Place: $200 cash award
